Let's face it, in today's fast-paced and competitive business environment you need to find ways to differentiate yourself from your peers. By achieving notable results on projects and being a top-notch program/project manager you can position yourself as a valuable asset.  Membership in the Project Management Institute (PMIŽ) and the PMI Northeast Wisconsin Chapter (PMI-NEW) provides many opportunities to advance your program/project management knowledge, skills, and business relationships. PMI-NEW is a growing chapter with over 200 members in Northeast Wisconsin and was the 2004 PMI Chapter of the Year runner-up.

Through PMI-NEW you'll get the opportunity to attend educational, training, and professional development events. You'll also get the opportunity to meet regularly with fellow program/project management professionals, share experiences and concerns, network with those peers sharing common interests, and volunteer for chapter related activities. Ultimately, this exposure will assist with your qualifications for becoming a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or maintaining your current PMP Certification.

All of the activities are designed to contribute to your knowledge base and assist you with becoming a more valued member of your organization.  Benefits of being a PMI-NEW member begin with the benefits and resources provided by membership with the PMI national organization. Since its founding in 1969, PMI has grown as the organization of choice for program and project management professionals. As of 2004, there are over 150,000 members in over 150 countries. PMI is the leading nonprofit professional association in the area of project management. PMI establishes project management standards, provides seminars, educational programs, and professional certification that more organizations a looking towards for their project leaders.
